Chartwell Capital PartnersChartwell Capital Partners Overview
Chartwell Capital Partners is a privately-held real estate development, investment, and management firm with an emphasis in Multifamily. Founded in 2009 by Jeff Hawkes, Chartwell has developed, owned and managed more than 7,500 multifamily units. The name Chartwell stems from a country house near Westerham, Kent, in South East England. For over forty years it was the home of Sir Winston Churchill.
Churchill is best remembered for his discipline and and relentless passion which successfully lead Britain through World War II. He was famous for his ability to inspire, his refusal to give in, and his ability to lead his people even when things were going badly. At Chartwell Capital Partners, we also refuse to give in during tough times or during the downturn of a market. It is our commitment to never give up and do all we can to protect and grow our investor’s capital.
We have 40+ combined years of real estate acquisition, entitlement, development, construction and management experience. We've sourced, negotiated, and managed over 5 billion dollars during professional Real Estate careers. We've acquired or developed approximately 7,500 units, and operated through 3 market cycles.
We've acquired & resolved 2 billion dollars of distressed transactions, and have 1 billion dollars of historical AUM for multifamily properties throughout the US.
The executive team has negotiated and transacted with some of the largest Real Estate firms in the country including Blackstone, Hines, The Kronke Family, Trammell Crow, USAA, Rockbridge, CrossHarbor, CIM, and Oaktree.
